"Dauergrau" is a collection of absurd moments from different parts of Germany, created through various assignments for magazines and newspapers. While some of the photographed subjects are serious, my focus is less on their seriousness and more on the grotesque and surreal.
The name "Dauergrau" describes the typically dull, overcast days, especially in autumn and winter, when the sun rarely appears and the mood often feels heavy. The aesthetic of my photos is meant to contrast with this term, which portrays the country in a cliché way.
