Wie das Land, so das Amt

Partially published in Der Spiegel (2019)

My photo project on the federal offices of the republic not only showcases sober buildings and meticulously stacked piles of files but also, with a wink, reveals a piece of the German soul. Here, German thoroughness meets the romance of coffee machines, and behind every soundproof office door, there just might be a little piece of bureaucratic cabaret. Between file folders and ink stamps, the essence of German culture is reflected—precise, pragmatic, and sometimes even amusing.
